I love the quiet of the darker months. The glare that softens to a warm, tender light; the way the space envelops me like a long-awaited first embrace.
When Autumn arrives, I become clearer-headed, and in some ways, more focused and active. While in others, I slow to notice the stillness and let it creep into my cooling veins.
Things become one when the days shorten; dawn and dusk becoming our magical space. I love change in this way ~ the way someone hard suddenly softens or something frantic quietly calms.
What surrounds us should replenish us; what resides within, fuel the flame for a life ~ sometimes spectacular...
and others,
serene.
